M.I.T. Rioters Fined

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Fines ranging from $15 to $305 were imposed on 21 of the 31 accused M.I.T. "Food Rioters" by Judge M. Edward Viola, who said in a concluding statement yesterday that the students had behaved like "ruffians."

Ten of the defendants, including several student government members and an associate news editor of the "Tech," were declared innocent by the judge. The others appealed the decision.

The M.I.T. administration promised to announce next Monday what disciplinary action it would take.
