Bellboy Sextet Beats Dunster To Take Title

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Lowell emerged as House hockey champion last night by defeating Dunster 6 to 3, as first-place Winthrop lost to Eliot, 4 to 2. Dudley secured its hold on last place with a 4-0 loss to Leverett, and Adams beat Kirkland, 4 to 2.

The Bellboys' triumph was a team effort, as five players joined in the scoring; Ed Harding had two; and Sam Wolcott, Dave Dearborn, Bill Henry and Norman Marsh scored one apiece.

But Lowell had an assist from underdog Eliot. Bob Bradford, John Finley, Bob Hoen and Skip Jencks joined in the scoring against Winthrop.

Dudley Poor on Defense

Dudley was as hapless as ever against Leverett, despite Krikor Der Hohannesian's fine play as goalie.

The Adams-Kirkland contest had no great significance, since both teams had losing records. Adams jumped into an early lead on two quick goals by Ed Weld, and then staved off a Kirkland rally with another goal by Weld and one by Cliff Erikson. Goalie Burke Rogers did not have much help from the Deacon defense.
