Two irregularities in the ordinarily staid Freshman Jubilee elections have resulted in a committee of 13 members instead of the customary ten. A tie forced the election of 11 candidates; and despite a relatively light write-in vote, Lamont Dupont and Oliver A. Yabook were appointed ex-officio members.
The elected members of the committee are Charles C. Adams III, Henry A. Billeter, Thomas M. Engelsing, Ronald W. Fox, Ronald S. Luedemann, William E. Rapp, Kenneth J. Robinson, Robert T. Sakowitz, Peter J. Salomon, Lionel B. Spiro and Robert C. Zeeb.
The elected expressed little resentment over the appointments. Sakowitz said that he hoped the group could meet on the Biviera, "if Lamont saw fit."
Neither Dupont nor Yabook could be reached for comment.
