8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
The CRIMSON will open its spring competition for both news and business boards this evening at 9 p.m. at 14 Plympton Street. Representatives of these two boards will be in the freshman Union to answer any questions concerning the CRIMSON competition and newspaper work in general.
The competition is a sprawling affair which winds through eight or nine weeks of the spring term, during which time candidates will pick up the fundamentals of the two boards.
News candidates will cover the daily happenings around the College, running into such people as Al Vellucci, many faculty members and also figures in undergraduate activties.
Aspiring businessmen will make many interesting sorties into Harvard Square and vicinity in an attempt to sell ads to local merchants. They will also learn many elements of business practice which will prove valuable after college.
Now it's true that the CRIME has sired some of America's greatest men, but it is probably equally true that from 14 Plympton Street have gone forth some of the country's smallest men. So there is a certain spine-tingling element of chance in this business that should make at least all gambler types attend tonight.
