Two Hoaxes Mark Jubilee Nominations

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Write-in campaigns for two fictitious candidates have brought the field to 23 in the race for positions on the Freshman Jubilee Committee. Ten members will be elected Feb. 28 to plan and produce the 1957 Jubilee.

Supporters of Lamont DuPont proclaim, "Why not vote DuPont? He owns us anyway." His qualifications: "prep school graduate, sports car owner, social register, one of the boys."

Oliver A. Yabook of "Holworthy 54 and Main St., Babbittville, Mo.," even appeared in the Freshman Register. A sign at the Union gate proclaims "Oliver A. Yabook apologizes for the food," while one over the door says "Oliver A. Yabook yawns." Inside, he "even likes Communists" and "is proud even of Yale."
