Squash Team Tops Tech, 9-0, at M.I.T.

The varsity squash team picked up its eighth victory of the year yesterday afternoon at M.I.T. by defeating the Engineers, 9 to 0.

Tech was playing without its usual number one man, Juan Hermosilla, who will probably be out of action for the rest of the year for M.I.T. His replacement at first singles was able to take two games from Crimson captain Ben Heckscher, but Heckscher was not putting out a full effort and was clearly in command of the match.

The rest of the squad, Cal Place, Larry Sears, Charlie Hamm, Charlie MacVeagh, Henry Cortesi, Pete Lund, Ed Wadsworth, and Hank Holmes, at second through ninth singles, won with little trouble.

Today, the top six players leave for New York to participate in the national team and individual championships. Heckscher will play in the individual division, and Place, Sears, Hamm, MacVeagh, and Cortesi will comprise the Harvard team entry.
