Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
The Student Council voted last night to send a mimographed guide book to incoming freshmen. Carl Sloane '58, who made the proposal, said that the book would include advice upon banking, snacks, and clothing at Harvard.
The book's purpose is to prevent the freshmen from wasting money on clothes before his arrival at Harvard and to acquaint him with service facilities in the Square and the Student Council.
The Rides Service was deemed a success except for a $40 expenditure on publicity fliers which were thrown out in housecleaning. The Service will be given to the Crimson Key beginning next Monday since it can be handled by them with no extra expense.
In other business, the Council approved the Constitution of the Society for Minority Rights even though Ernest Winsor had not presented part of his proposals to the Society. Also voted was a plan to draw up a student referendum concerning Council participation in N.S.A.
