The Adams House Committee last night collected 225 signatures on a petition demanding the erection of a stop sign at the corner of Plympton and Bow streets.
City Councilman Alfred Vellucci vigorously denounced the petition last night, "Harvard get nothing from me. I counted the vote up there and they're not voting for me. I'll keep them jumping for that. I even sent Sputnik up to keep those boys at Harvard busy."
Trusting in the power of rationality over meglomania, the Adams House petition, sponsored by Stephen Isaacs '59, seeks to end the mayhem near Mt. Auburn. The stated reasons are that Adams House men are kept up at night by screeching tires, and that a large number of automobiles are demolished at the intersection. The CRIMSON has favored erection of a stop sign at the tragic intersection for many years.
