8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
The Summer Employment Office plans a program of fall and spring meetings to explain summer job opportunities to interested students, Dustin M. Burke '52, Director of Student Employment, announced yesterday.
The meetings are part of a special effort on the part of the Student Employment Office to increase summer job opportunities. Last summer the gross income of students who secured jobs through the University was $55,000, compared to only $5,000 in 1955.
The first meeting in the fall series is scheduled for Tues., Nov. 19, at 8 p.m., in New Lecture Hall. At that time, both University officials and students who have been successful in securing profitable summer jobs will speak.
Burke urged students who have had successful employment in past summers to contact the Summer Employment Office.
