Twenty-six candidates for what is potentially the tallest team in the Ivy League have reported to varsity basketball coach Floyd Wilson.
Five lettermen, including Captain Dick Woolston and high scorer George Harrington, are returning from the team that last year compiled the best Crimson basketball record in over a decade. Grif McClellan, Neil Muncaster and Bryant Danner are the other three lettermen. Their average height is 6 ft., 6 in.
Wilson also has a number of good prospects from last year's strong J.V. squad as well as several backcourt men from the freshman team.
The varsity will play a 21-game schedule that includes the University of New Hampshire Tournament at Durham and a total of 13 home games at the I.A.B. The opener will be against Bowdoin on Dec. 4.
