Despite a strong fourth-quarter Crimson comeback effort, Yale's freshman soccer team managed to eke out a 3-2 victory over a determined Yardling squad.

Yale led 3 to 0 until late in the third period, when an Eli fullback let the ball slip past him, and right outside Tom Blodgett booted the first goal for the Crimson. The fired-up Yardlings continued to press the action for the remainder of the contest, with center forward Hillery Ng'weno shooting the ball through at 5:35 of the last quarter.

Dick McIntosh, right inside, and Hal Loucheim, left halfback, played outstanding games for the Crimson. The freshman soccer team finished its season with a record of two wins, two losses, and four ties.

The freshmen faired better in touch football play, with Grays Hall defeating Yale's top freshman dorm, North Middle, 24 to 18. Four Grays men scored once each and Charlie Lockwood's passing continued to stand them in good stead.
