The Yale soccer team will meet a determined Crimson eleven this afternoon at 2 p.m. at New Haven. Two weeks ago Harvard beat the same Princeton squad which last week handed the Elis a 2-1 defeat.
The best the Crimson can do is to secure second place in the Ivy soccer league by a win over Yale. The faint hope of first place died last week with league leader Princeton's win.
As starting goalie Jim Perkins returns to the nets after an absence of over a month with a shoulder injury, the team loses the strength of fullback Chris Provensen, whose nose was broken in four places last week at Brown. Floyd Molloy will join Lanny Keyes at fullback in place of Provensen, who is reported still in bruised, but safe condition.
Halfbacks Marsh Schwarz, Tony Oberschall, and John Felstiner start their last game relatively unblemished. The forward line of Ken McIntosh, captain Shue, Rog Tuckerman, Tom Bernheim, and Larry Ekpebu are expected to show the scoring drive Yale lacked this year.
