Follow Derby Avenue To Reach Yale Bowl

Local fans will find Yale's mammoth Bowl much like more familiar Soldiers Field. Parking problems, heavy traffic, and huge crowds of spectators make the Bowl area a driver's nightmare.

To reach the Bowl from the Eli campus, go out Chapel St. and turn north on Derby Ave. To reach it from the Merritt Parkway, turn south along Derby Ave. (exit 57) and follow it to the Bowl.

All Harvard students will enter through six gates: Portals 1, 2, and 3, and Portals 28, 29, and 30. The lownumber gates are on the south part of the Crimson side, while the others are north of midfield.

Those entering the various gates sit as follows: Portal 1, between the 35 and 50 yard lines; Portal 2, the 20 and 35; Portal 3, the goal and the 20. On the north side, Portal 30 is between the 35 and 50, Portal 29 the 20 and 35, and Portal 28 the goal and the 20.
