Yardlings, Brown Tie, 3-3, in Soccer Match

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman soccer team continued its habit of tying opponents, playing Brown to a 3-3 deadlock Saturday. It was the squad's fourth tie in seven games.

Captain Tadhg Sweeny began the Crimson scoring with a header from the goal mouth in the second quarter. Dick McIntosh booted one penalty kick in the third period and John Simon came through with the tying point in the fourth quarter.

Brown scored its three goals in a third quarter flurry when the Yardling defense suddenly became very porous. The Bruin offense was not sustained and the freshmen, aside from their damaging third quarter lapse, completely outplayed the Bruins, who rarely had control of the ball.
