Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
Tom Hooper, the captain of the varsity football team, became the leading pass receiver in the Ivy League as a result of his performance against Princeton last Saturday.
Hooper, the Crimson's starting right end, moved from fifth to first place in total yardage gained by pass reception. He caught five passes against Princeton to boost his season total to 12 receptions for 141 yards and two touchdowns.
Dunster Takes Sixth
Unbeaten Dunster, the offensive power of the House football league, won its sixth straight game yesterday as it downed Lowell 26 to 7. The Funsters now need only one more victory to clinch the House football title.
Spearheading the Dunster attack was halfback Bruce Johnson, who scored three touchdowns for the second game in a row.
After Lowell scored on a run by Lee Johnson, Dunster quarterback George Douse passed 30 yards to Chuck Wolle, who lateraled to Johnson for the second Dunster tally. In the second half, Jim Crampton plunged five yards for Dunster's third marker. Johnson's third touchdown of the day, a five-yard carry, completed the Dunster scoring.
Winthrop, Eliot Tie
The other House football game of the day featured tight defensive play, as Winthrop and Eliot fought to a scoreless tie. Winthrop's King Holmes plunged for a touchdown with two minutes remaining, but the tally was nullified by an offside penalty.
Eliot Soccer Team Wins
Eliot clinched the House soccer league crown yesterday by scoring its ninth consecutive shutout of the season with a 5 to 0 win over Leverett. With two games remaining to be played, Eliot has insured itself of a trip to New Haven for a game with the Yale intramural soccer champions.
