A boom response to the Radcliffe Seminar program has created a need for a definite admissions policy to replace the "first come, first served" rule of the seven-year-old program.
The seven seminars, run for local women on a non-credit basis, have aimed for diversified membership in choosing their students. But the number of women, aged 19 to 90, who have applied for this year's seminars has far exceeded class limits.
