Braves Down New York, 1-0

By The ASSOCIATED Press

MILWAUKEE, Oct. 7--Fidgety Lew Burdette blanked the New York Yankees, 1-0, with seven hits today for his second World Series victory, as the Milwaukee Braves took a 3-2 edge at the end of five games.

Joe Adcock, benched yesterday because of a severe hitting slump, drove in the only run of the game off Whitey Ford in the sixth with a line single to right following singles by Eddie Mathews and Hank Aaron.

Wednesday pitcher for the Yanks will be Bob Turley. Next hurler for Milwaukee is undecided.
