Three Key Regulars Remain Out As Squad Drills for Penn Game

The Crimson went through a hard, enthusiastic practice yesterday afternoon, but without the services of backs Walt Stahura, Dick McLaughlin, and guard Hal Anderson. The three regulars were all idled by injuries, but are expected back in action by tomorrow.

Ron Johanson worked quite well at quarterback, and Bill Crowley ran hard from right halfback. Chauncy Walker and Tom Hill worked at the guards.

Otherwise, injured Crimson players worked out despite their ills. Chet Boulris and Walker, who sustained neck injuries Saturday, were in action as was tackle Jack Foker, who hurt his ankle then. Don Gerety, now apparently recovered from his knee injury, also practiced hard.

The Crimson emphasized passing in the drill possibly in deference to Navy's great success through the air in its game with Penn last week. The freshmen set Pennsylvania defenses, the junior varsity simulated Quaker offenses, and both the A and B squads worked against each team.
