The increased number of intoxicated students at last Saturday's Penn-Navy football game has led University of Pennsylvania officials to prohibit the use of alcoholic beverages at future home games.
According to a statement by G. D. Ginsburne, Vice-President of Student Affairs, persons carrying liquor into the stadium next Saturday will be denied admission. Those found intoxicated in the stadium will be evicted.
Ginsburne explained, however, that this is not an attack on fraternity house drinking and the restriction does not apply to it. Pennsylvania students are generally apathetic about the proclamation, according to the Penn undergraduate newspaper.
