Yovicsin Institutes Volunteer Program

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With his "volunteer" program, by which interested members of the varsity football team volunteer for extra practice sessions every day, expected to pay dividends, Coach John Yovicsin's squad will be ready for the Columbia game.

All week he has emphasized offense, especially pass offense, which heretofore has been virtually non-existent. Yesterday he had Dick McLaughlin and Walt Stahura practicing long passes.

Yovicsin is worried by the Crimson's lack of depth, in the line. Even perenially undermanned Columbia platoons its lines, while all the varsity can now manage is one component substitute at end tackle, guard, and center.
