History and Lit. Weighs Revision

The Committee on Degrees in History and Literature is considering revision of its program in the cross fields, William R. Taylor '43, assistant professor of History disclosed yesterday.

Changes recommended by the Committee's Board of Examiners, Taylor emphasized, would not affect any undergraduate presently concentrating in History and Lit. The Board, however, is expected to have made its proposals before freshmen apply for admission to the field this spring.

Taylor stated that the purpose of the revision was to make the study of three countries within a certain period "more integrated." The action was not prompted by failures on last year's general examinations, on which students studying one country did substantially the same as those in cross fields.
