Galloway Injured in Greyhound Accident

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

David D. Galloway '59, of Adams House and Memphis, received a head injury in the collision of a Greyhound bus and a tractor-trailer near Lexington, Ky. The crash, which occurred Jan. 4, killed six people, including the driver. Fifteen were hospitalized.

Persons at the scene of the wreck said that flares had been set up at both ends of the parked truck, but the driver of the bus apparently failed to notice them until he was too close to the truck to halt his vehicle.

Galloway, who was on his way to New York, was preparing to go to sleep when the driver applied the brakes. He, like most of the passengers, was thrown to the floor of the bus.
