This week's short thaw brought thin-eared rabbits out of their holes in western Massachusetts, Peros Brugnoni '58, of Adams House and Moose Creek, Mass., announced last night.
Brugnoni, the rotund Field Marshall of the Harvard Young Americans for Rabbit Extermination, stated, however, that the new cold wave would "probably drive the little bunnies back in their holes, unless of course we blast them first."
A weekend expedition to Greenfield is planned by Brugnoni's group, which has dedicated itself to "the application of Darwinian principles in the man-rabbit relationship." The rabbit season opened recently, Brugnoni added, grinning.
