Radcliffe has established a Development Fund to survey the financial needs of the college and formulate a ten-year program to meet those needs, President Wilbur K. Jordan made public yesterday.
John P. Halstead, a graduate student working for this Ph.D. at Harvard, is Executive Director of the Development Fund--a committee of trustees including Jordan, and Beatrice Cronkhite, vice-president of the college, and dean of the Graduate School.
Halstead is at present engaged in centralizing the financial records in order to locate possible sources of the funds Radcliffe needs. He said yesterday that the committee has no plans to coordinate its plans with Harvard, but is strictly concerned with improving the present facilities the college offers to its own student body.
