Lacrosse Ten Seeks Second Straight Win Over Penn Tomorrow

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The varsity lacrosse squad, fresh from a unique 10-5 victory over M.I.T., travels to Penn tomorrow in an attempt to win its second straight game. The Quakers are not expected to match the caliber of play which handed the Crimson nine straight losses, but will probably be much tougher than the weak Tech team.

Coach Bruce Munro, anxious to sharpen developing attack, has drilled the varsity on fundamentals in practice since Thursday. Passing in Wednesday's Tech game indicated much improvement, but the club needs to develop a well-coordinated attack if it is to finish the season with a respectable record. Only Captain Dexter Lewis has scored consistently for the varsity.

The defensive work, moreover, has repeatedly collapsed in second half play. Sophomore goalie Dick Mackinnon held M.I.T. to only five goals, for the lowest enemy total all year, but he will have to look still sharper against Penn to outweigh weak defensive play.
