A powerful Exeter Academy lacrosse team pounded a stubborn '59 aggregation 16-2, yesterday on Soldiers Field.

The Crimson, although definitely outclassed by their more experienced opponents, played its best lacrosse of the year in the third period when it held Exeter to only one score. Captain John Pille scored both goals for the freshmen. Three lineup changes for yesterday's game saw Jerry Pyle start as attackman, Bob Hoen move to midfieldman, and Dave Birch take over on defense.

In its last match, the Yardlings went down to defeat, 7 to 4, at the hands of Tabor Academy.

The Yardling tennis players won their third straight shutout of the season, defeating Exeter, 9 to 0, yesterday. "We were at our lowest point in history," the Exeter coach commented.

The singles winners were Captain Jim Cameron, Charlie Hamm, Ned Weld, Bill Wood, Bob Repetto, and John Tamerin. Roger Tuckerman and Tim Haskins played in doubles matches.
