Crimson Ten Takes Third Straight, 16-8, From Weak Jumbos

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

After seven minutes of uninspired play, the Crimson lacrosse squad exploded yesterday to defeat an erratic Tufts team, 16 to 8, on the Business School field. Larry Coburn and Captain Dexter Lewis tallied four times each, while Jim Gale scored three goals in the varsity's third straight win.

Coach Bruce Munro has effectively straightened out his previously unpredictable attack and Lewis, Don Dawidoff, and Coburn turned in their best effort this year. The strong attack caused the defense to relax, however, and goalie Dick Mackinnin saw eight scores flash into the nets.

The attack broke up numerous Jumbo clears, and the ball was consequently in enemy territory for three-fourths of the game. The starting midfield, Mac Hyde, Gale, and Tom Draper also looked good, and may provide the answer to a strong Yale squad Saturday in the season's semi-finale.
