Thirteen passengers must be found before tomorrow's deadline if the so-called "Europe Cooperative" project to charter a plane for a round-trip flight to the Continent is to succeed, announced Victor R. Besso '57, co-chairman of the enterprise.
"We have enough people on the waiting list to fill the 13 vacancies," Besso said, "if we can only get them to commit themselves in time." The offer of the round trip passage for $320 has been enlarged to include Radcliffe students as well as members of the University.
The plane would leave Boston for Paris via New York and London on June 16 and make the return trip on September 16. Over 50 applicants have signed up for the 68 places in the plane.
"The enterprise is now at the crucial balance," Besso said. He explained that the success of the operation this summer will determine the future of such flights. The Student Council may, he said, adopt the plan in future years.
