Mumford to Talk at 'Cliffe Graduation

Lewis Mumford, currently Jacob Zyskind Visiting Professor of Humanities at Brandeis University, will deliver the Radcliffe Commencement address June 13, President Wilber K. Jordan announced yesterday. Julius S. Bixler, President of Colby College, and a trustee of Radcliffe, will be Chaplain of the Exercises.

Preacher at the Baccalaureate Service on June 10 will be Lawrence Rose '23, Dean of General Theological Seminary in New York. He will be assisted at the Service by George A. Buttrick, Preacher to the University.

Mumford, father of Allison J. Mumford '56, wrote "The Story of Utopias," "Herman Melville," and "The Culture of Cities."

In accordance with Radcliffe tradition, Dean rose is also the father of a graduating senior, Margaret E. Rose '56. He is a former professor of Christian Apologetics and Religious Education at Central Theological College in Tokyo.
