The varsity fencing team placed senior Cliff Thompson on the second All-Ivy League foil team, selected this week by the six League coaches. No other Crimson fencers were included in the 19 chosen for first and second team berths.
League champion Columbia and runnerup Princeton each had three men on the first team. The three Lions were all selected for the top position in the epee, foil, and sabre events. One of them, Marvin Stein, finished this first League season undefeated in 13 matches.
Cornell, Pennsylvania and Yale completed the nine-man first team with one fencer each.
