Five goals in the last period enabled the Dedham Tigers to defeat the junior varsity hockey team at Watson last night, 9 to 7. It was the fifth loss for the jayvees in eight contests and also the second to Dedham after an opening game 8-4 win over the Tigers.

Dedham's first line of Bill and Joe Riley, former Dartmouth greats, and Bruce Mather, former U.S. Olympic and Boston Olympics player, accounted for five goals.

The jayvees came from behind to lead, 6 to 4, at the end of the second period. The tallies were by Dave Loring (2), John Hamlen, Denny French (2), and Alex Kalil. The five Dedham goals made the score 9 to 6 until Ted Hollander scored a minute before the end.
