Varsity wrestling coach Robert A. Pickett was elected vice-President of the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Coaches Association at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., on Saturday.
Coach Rex Peery of Pittsburg, whose team won the Eastern Wrestling Tournament at Lehigh over the weekend, was elected President of the Association. Both Peery and Pickett will serve one-year terms which will expire at the time of next season's Easterns.
Pickett's varsity wrestling team finished eighth out of 18 teams entered in the Tournament, although Pete Morrison reached the finals in the unlimited division. The Crimson lost to Yale on March 3, 22-8, to finish its season with a 4-5 record. In the Ivy Yeague it tied Brown for fourth place by compiling a 2-4 League record.
Pickett has been the Crimson varsity wrestling coach during the last six seasons.
