Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
By upsetting favored Yale and thereby avenging last Saturday's 82 to 69 defeat at the hands of the Elis this evening, the varsity five can capitalize on its last chance to brighten an otherwise lacklustre season. The game will begin at 8:30 p.m. in Yale's Payne Whitney Gymnasium.
A varsity win coupled with a Brown loss will give it undisputed possession of seventh place in the Ivy League standings.
To defeat the Elis, the Crimson will have to stop Yale's sensational sophomore, John Lee, whose 297 points for the season are second in Ivy League scoring, only six points below the all-time record set in 1953 by Ernie Beck of Penn.
Three points ahead of Lee is Joe Tebo of Brown, while Chuck Rolles of Cornell is third, right behind Lee. All three play their last league games tonight.
Starting for Eli coach, Howie Hobson, will be Lee, Chuck Ross, whose 20 points were high against the Crimson last week, Dean Loucks, Tom Sargent, and Captain Ed Robinson.
Floyd Wilson will counter with Captain Warren Kantrowitz, who led the varsity scorers against Yale with 19 points, Ike Canty, Dick Hurley, and Bob Hastings. To Bob Barnett, the fifth starter, will probably fall the unenviable task of guarding Lee.
By winning, the varsity can end its season with a league mark of 4-10 and an overall total of 8-15.
