Freshman Six Beats Malden Catholic, 5-3

The Yardling hockey team withstood a last-period opposition rush yesterday, and defeated Malden Catholic High School, perennial New England power, 5 to 3, in a Watson Rink game. The freshmen are now undefeated in their last ten outings.

Paul Kelley led the scoring with two second period goals which came on assists from Dave Vietz and Dick Fischer. Captain George Higginbottom and Fischer both tallied in the first period; Fisher caged a pass from Vietz at 5:53, and Higginbottom scored unassisted at 14:45.
