The varsity track team will be without its ace hurdler, broad jumper, and dash man for at least five weeks. Joel Cohen broke a bone in his foot while practicing for the New England A.A.U. Meet in the M.I.T. cage on Monday.

Pole vaulter Kip Smith salvaged some team satisfaction from the meet Monday, however, by clearing the bar at 13 feet for a first place in his event, ahead of Don Richards and Dick Williams.
