Skiers to Enter Williams Carnival; Coach Predicts Improved Showing

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The ski team will be much improved at the Williams Winter Carnival Saturday coach Don Kennedy predicted yesterday before leaving with the squad for a one day practice session in the Berkshires.

"The team really wants to stay in the top division," he said. Last weekend the squad placed last in a nine team contest at the Dartmouth Winter Carnival.

Poindexter Entered

Captain Pete Churchill will head the Crimson team as he competes in four events. Jack Nohr, Curt Beebe, and Joe Poindexter have entered the cross country and jumping. The varsity skiers entered in the downhill and slalom events are Ash Hallett, Charlie Thomas, Bill Lingelbach and Tim Thacher.

The other eight colleges entered in the carnival are Dartmouth, Middlebury, New Hampshire, Williams, Yale, Amherst, and University of Massachusets.

Good snow conditions are predicted for the weekend's events.
