Attilio Poto, conductor of the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra--Pierian Sodality of 1808, announced last night the election of Paul Buttenweiser '60 as student conductor.

Buttenweiser will primarily direct the orchestra's rehearsals, and may also conduct some of the concerts. He won the post in a seven-man competition.
