Irish actress Siobhan McKenna will read from the works of modern Irish poets in an appearance at Sanders Theatre Sunday, December 16 at 4 p.m.
Miss McKenna will read a scene from W.B. Yeats' play "The Countess Kathleen." She will also present shorter poems of Yeats, Padraic Colum, and James Stephens, as well as some anonymous Irish ballads. The program is sponsored by the Poets' Theatre.
Miss McKenna appeared in the Cambridge Drama Festival performance of Shaw's "St. Joan," this summer. The program of readings will be her last public performance in this country before she returns to Ireland for an indefinite time.
