P.B.H. Opens Drives For Blood, Clothing

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The P.B.H. Drives Committee is running two drives this week, a clothing drive for Hungary, which opened yesterday, and a blood drive which begins today at 11:45 a.m. in Memorial Hall.

Committee co-chairman Isaac Druker '58, said last night that about 1,500 persons had pledged blood, but past experience indicated that the Red Cross would be "lucky" to collect from 40 percent of the pledgees in the five day campaign ending Saturday.

Druker also announced that boxes had been placed outside all college dining halls to collect clothing for Hungarian refugees, and that all clothing received in the drive would be processed, shipped and distributed by the American Friends Service.
