The Band will play on the steps of Cambridge City Hall at 11:45 a.m. this morning in honor of the return of Charley Jenkins, Olympic gold medal winner and former Rindge Tech track star.

The concert will be part of a celebration including a motorcade from Kenmore Square and an assembly in the Rindge Tech auditorium. Mayor Edward J. Sullivan requested that the Band take part.

Jenkins won two Olympic gold medals, winning the 400 meter race and running on the U.S.'s successful 1600 meter relay team.
