An explanation of basketball rule changes will be presented at halftime when the varsity scrimmages with Providence College tonight at 7 p.m. in the I.A.B.
Referees Tony Gentile and John Bain will discuss the new rules and answer questions about other rules. Varsity coach Floyd Wilson has invited House and freshman intramural basketball players to attend.
Wilson said that the scrimmage would give his players experience in the new offense and defense he is using this year. He said that he was "pleased with team's progress on offense, but the defense leaves a lot to be desired."
The team opens its 21-game schedule next Wednesday against Wesleyan University in Middletown.
