Kirkland still retains a one-point edge over Winthrop in House football standings as both teams won games yesterday.
The Deacons beat Eliot, 14 to 6, yesterday afternoon, while Winthrop shut out Leverett, 12 to 0. Both teams play their last games on Tuesday, Kirkland with Dudley, and Winthrop with Dunster.
Kirkland has a 5-0-1 record for 11 points, while Winthrop, with a 5-1-0 record has 10 points. Adams, with a 2-1-3 record, is in third place with seven points, and Eliot's 3-3-0 record puts it in fourth place with six points.
The same two Houses are tied for first place in touch football. Kirkland beat Dunster yesterday 12 to 6, stretching its perfect record to six games. The Puritains also have a 6-0 record. The teams will have to play off for the championship next week.
