Jordan Sets May 1 To Start New Dorm

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Construction of Ada Louise Comstock Hall, Radcliffe's new dormitory, will begin about May 1, 1957, President Wilbur K. Jordan announced yesterday. No plans have yet been made for a ground-breaking ceremony, he said.

The dormitory, which will be located on the site now occupied by the Radcliffe tennis courts, will reportedly resemble Holmes Hall in external design.

Exam Period Construction

Work on the building must start by May 1 if it is to be ready for occupancy in the fall of 1958, contractors estimate. Several undergraduates have objected, however, that the noise and confusion of construction on the campus may interfere with the demands of Reading Period and final exams.
