Beneath seven square inches of his face, movie comedian Jack Lemmon declared yesterday that he was shocked recently to discover that he was a Harvard man.

Lemmon expressed his amazement in a feature in yesterday's Boston Traveler. "You can take the boy out of Harvard," he concluded, but you can't take Harvard out of the boy."

Lemmon, who received his degree in 1947, spent a good part of his time at college "clowning in the Hasty Pudding Club." Remembering his undergraduate success, Lemmon commented that he can "hardly believe" that he is a Hollywood star.
