Columbus Exhibit in Widener

Widener Library will open a special exhibition of the works by and about Christopher Columbus today. The featured exhibit will be a rare early printing of the letter Columbus wrote to the treasurer of Spain on his return from the New World describing his discoveries.

The pieces on display are part of the library's collection, one of the most extensive in the world of books and documents relating to the discoverer. The exhibit will run through Friday, Columbus Day.
