Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Urban renewal claimed the attention of more than 600 persons last night at the annual dinner meeting of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce in Memorial Hall.
After addresses by various Commerce officials and Mayor Edward J. Sullivan, the group saw "Our Living Future," a visual education program presented by ACTION (the American Council To Improve Our Neighborhoods) in cooperation with Life magazine.
Cambridge is the third of 92 cities which will view the program, designed to arouse public support for the problem of "crowding, blight, and urban decay."
In his remarks, Mayor Sullivan, commenting on a recent proposal to move the University to Peterborough, N.H., said, "I have the assurance of President Pusey that Harvard does not intend to move. The city manager informs me that he is greatly relieved."
Earlier, Sullivan told the CRIMSON that University-City Hall relations are "better than ever." He added that he thought the move to Peterborough was "physically impossible."
