Former HYRC president John R. Thomson '57 is representing National Youth for Eisenhower-Nixon this week as a Special Task Force to Ohio, Minnesota, Missouri, and Pennsylvania.
Thomson's previous organizational work was at the Minneapolis Aquatennial and Raspberry Festival in July where he helped Youth for Eisenhower arrange rallies, floats, and had Ike Girls hand out buttons throughout the festivities. He also inaugurated Bikes for Ike, which toured Minnesota.
He then was loaned to the Republican National Committee, where he served as chief page to the Republican National Convention.
After the convention, Thomson rejoined the Task Force in West Virginia where he formed a team of Ike Girls to pass out buttons, and set up a similar program in Tennessee.
