Soccer Eleven Faces Wesleyan Tries for End to Recent Slump

The Crimson soccer team will be out to break a two-game slump this afternoon at 1 p.m. against an underdog Wesleyan eleven at Middletown.

"I think we began to pull out of it against Williams, "Coach Bruce Munro said yesterday, "but we are nowhere near the potential the boys showed in the Tufts game."

Munro expects to start with five of his six available men in the line: Hank Holmes at outside left, Robin Magowan at inside left, Captain Grey Hodnett at center, Jim Shue at inside right, and Ken McIntosh at outside right.

Starting halfbacks will be John Felstiner at left, Tony Oberschall at center, and Harry wexler at right. Cris Provenson and Don Beaver will be at the full-backs and Jim Perkins will guard the nets.

Lost for the game are Charlie MacVeagh and Barry Russman. MacVeagh, a regular on last year's Ivy League co-champions, is sidelined with a sprained ankle until the end of the month. Hodnett also has a sprained ankle which may hamper his game. These injuries add to the Crimson's depth problems, especially in the line.

Wesleyan, a member of the huge New England Intercollegiate Soccer League, shows losses to both Yale and Brown of the Ivy League. The Crimson (2-2) belongs to both Leagues, and is a defending champion in each. It owns victories over Tufts and Amherst and has lost to Cornell and Williams, each of the losses being by one point.
