Second Story Student Basks in Heat Wave

As temperatures soared to the mid-eighties in Cambridge yesterday, Patrick P. Shaw '55-3 repaired to his roof in a late fall attempt at tanning.

Lamont's air conditioning unit went into high gear for the second straight day and is expected to be used today.

The heat was carried in by a thick haze, described by meteorologists as somewhat similar to Los Angeles "smog."
