All Ivy Hosts Beaten; Elis, Tigers Triumph

The first full day of Ivy League football play Saturday saw all the visiting teams upend their hosts. Besides the Crimson's 32-7 win over Cornell, Yale whipped Columbia, Princeton crushed Pennsylvania, and Dartmouth edged Brown.

Columbia played the Elis even for the first quarter, but eventually bowed 33 to 19. Yale piled up 299 years rushing, including a 68-yard touchdown dash by left half Al Ward. Lion Claude Benham countered with 13 pass completions in 23 attempts, good for 178 yards and two touchdowns.

Princeton ended Penn's longest winning streak in three seasons at one victory by overpowering the mild Quakers, 34 to 0. Sophomore Fred Tiley scored twice, and Penn did not cross midfield without the aid of a penalty.

Sophomore Dick Burke picked up 85 yards in 22 tries for Dartmouth, scoring once as the Indians rallied for a 14-7 victory over Brown.
